Lean Process Leader

Thornley Group Lean Process Leader training is carried out by professional trainers who are experienced as senior management practitioners in both Six-Sigma and Lean Operations. This course provides a high level of detail and enables suitable candidates to lead lean activities and drive and sustain the improvements gained. Combining the process improvement tools from Six-Sigma with a detailed knowledge of the lean tool-kit provides the basis for creating a continuously improving lean organisation. The training is for key individuals who have been identified for the role of managing lean improvement projects or teams.

Entry Requirements

  • Candidates must have a basic working knowledge of algebra and be used to working with numerical data. A familiarity with Computer Spreadsheets is also required.
  • Candidates must have prior authority to carry out a work based project that is to commence after completion of the course. The project is assessed as part of the course.

Our Lean Process Leader training is aimed at the practitoner or process owner. Team management, project management and the entire lean and process improvement tool-kits are provided which, if used, will allow step changes in process performance, customer satisfaction and operating costs.

After Completion of Week 2, candidates will carry out a work based project that delivers significant customer impact or operational improvement using the knowledge gained from the course. Projects must be submitted within 4 months of course completion. Subject to successful review of the project, a Lean Process Leader certificate will be issued.

100% attendance at the course is required to gain certification.
